Impressive work of Lego, but it sounds as good as I expected. :)

Neat site. I think Dave would like these:

Wish Basses

They seem to elicit pretty varied reactions - some people hate them, others love them. Most say they that they have good tone. Apparently they're quite primitive, and the necks are pretty thick. The string gaps aren't precise like most basses. For a UK climate, you'd probably want a truss rod in it which would put the price up - but the guy sounds pretty honest and would probably advise you. You could probably get him to make you one that looked like a certain leaf. :)

Here's an interview with the luthier.

You should come out and visit then. My brother-in-law has one. It's very nice. :)

Don't you remember that time when Gordon used a bit of sellotape on your coffee mug and told you not to worry when you asked what he was up to?

If they're already on file in Britain in the police, census or passport databases, the FBI were given them. If they aren't on file, they will be, because of the new biometric passport scheme and the requirement to get an identity card.

First application for a passport, as of October this year, will require the applicant to attend an interview as well, where they'll probably be compelled to provide fingerprints, DNA and iris and facial scans. Passport renewals will require full biometrics later on.

That's why I renewed my passport earlier this year.

The UK ID card debate is dead in the dust for now though.

I've never been fingerprinted and my passport is good for another decade at least....

Although I suspect HM Customs and Excise of DNA fingerprinting me (or my Tiger) several times before going through the Chunnel over the last 3 yrs, unless those swabs of my motorbike were really to detect for explosives :-/

Who knows, I _do_ know however that French customs once hid a gun in my car for a laugh, luckily I spotted them doing it , the buggers :-0
