Power stilts
by Bruce Ure at 18:06 08/03/06 (Blogs::Bruce)
Saw these on a TV advert today and a google for "amazing stilts" found them. They seem to be called "Poweriser Fly Jumpers" and they look like some of the best fun you can have without breaking the law.
Read and covet:

We also recommend wearing suitable head and body protection when using a Poweriser Fly Jumper.

But I bet you won't until after you've tried to jump over that speeding train ...

D'you see where you went wrong there? All manuals, guide books, instructional information, should be removed from the box at arm's length, without looking directly at it, and discarded, with the use of protective gloves, preferably in an incinerator.

Tsk.

There were a bunch of folks doing flips on them at the last (farce of a) US grand prix. Here's what a flip looks like:

And this is from the CE approval sticker on a pair of these Poweriser stilts:

Warning!
1. Put on all protective guards before using
   and do sufficient warm-up exercise.
2. Be sure to observe all instructions in the
manual. -- If you use it to excess you may fall
down or be hurt likely bruise, fracture.
Careless accident is responsible for the user.
(Prohibited places)
Car path, alley, stairs, soft, sloped or
slippery place etc.

Fantastic. I particularly like "you may fall down or be hurt likely bruise, fracture" and "If you use it to excess" -- what, the manual?
