Snow Leopard and NFS
by Simon at 14:54 21/10/09 (Forum::Technical Advice::General)
I'll be damned if I'm going to search all over t'Internet for this information if I ever need it again in the future, so here's how to use NFS shares in Snow Leopard without all that tedious mucking about with -36 errors.
Use DiskUtility to setup the NFS Mounts, and put this into the Advanced Mount Parameters box:

resvport nolocks

The first option gets around the problem of privileged port requirements, the second one stops the -36 errors when copying files to the share from a Mac using the Finder.
