DOpus, quite right. And on the same theme, Path Finder for the Mac, which having given up on before I have now come to love. And I'm trying QuickSilver again too, hopefully it won't keep crashing like it did on my Mini.
Winamp, nah: VLC. Winamp feature-crept its way off my list a while back. In fact Cog would prolly be my Windows audio player of choice if it were ported to Windows (and if I ever played audio on Windows). It's about as simple as you can get.
