Solar Eclipse

There's a partial eclipse of the Sun visible from Britain today, starting at 10.47 BST (GMT + 1).

Dig out your old eclipse glasses or find some welder's goggles and take a look.

Failing that, have a go at projecting the image with a pinhole camera.

Or there's always http://www.exploratorium.edu/eclipse/2006/index.html for a live webcast from on the path of totality in Turkey in either RealMedia or WindowsMedia format. These start at 10.30 BST.
