I've been after a copy for years, but it's out of print and copies I've seen on the 'net have been too expensive to consider ($100 ish).
Imagine my surprise, and delight, to find it in a local book fair for £27.
Summary so far: the eastern Pacific islands (Polynesia etc) were colonised by immigration from the North West Pacific American coast (area around Vancouver and Queen Charlotte island), rather than by expansion from the Indonesian/Malay culture of the western Pacific.
That's my reading sorted for the next couple of weeks then :-)
