Mary's had a Little Leopard...
by Simon at 17:01 28/05/03 (History of RCS Mascotry)
Our most recent raid was upon QMC, once the main mascoteers in London, but who are now extremely reluctant to take part in the spirit of the game. However, their mascot is very nice - being a life sized wood and plaster of Paris leopard called Mary.
Early on the morning of the 5th of February 1985 the Team arrived and gained entry to the Hall where Mary was kept by posing as supporters of QMC's University Challenge team, ready to leave for Manchester. Only a bored cleaner, who wished us luck against Nottingham, witnessed the speedy removal of Mary to a waiting van. This was one of our most cleanly executed raids to date.

Each of the three raids described above took less than 8 minutes actual time on the victim's campus - our record time for removal is under a minute, for the capture of Velesh - the stuffed bull's head of the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, in 1982.
