Sediment and pollen analysis proves that the River Arun flowed a further 8 miles out from the current coastline of Britain before the rise in sea level at the end of the last ice age.

I met one of the 3D visualisation artists, Tom Goskar, at the Salisbury Druid Moot this evening. Tom's also a trained archaeologist and is webmaster for the site.

There are a quarter of a million trees in the forest, each one different, grown from a set of digital seeds, all swaying in the wind - which involved complex modelling of the physics of airflow and tree structures.

Creating that virtual world was a hell of a task!
