MacOS X

Quite possibly the most comprehensive, yet understandable, exposition of the history, development underpinnings and character of MacOS X I've ever read.

http://www.kernelthread.com/mac/osx/

I just caught up with the last 5 years OS development on the Mac platform in the space of an afternoon, by reading this web.

Posted here primarily for my own reference (bookmarks? I hate 'em - what a stupid way to store references to information. Now *searchable digests* of sites would be a much better idea, and would let me say things like "Where did I recently read that thing about sucking the data out of an Access database with Perl?")

Finally, I think it's time to pull out the credit card, buy a copy of Panther and convert my OS9-based setup.
