City and Guilds

Perhaps our oldest rivals, once they were as carefully organised and accomplished as we are today. Their mascots are a large brass spanner called Spanner and a companion steel bolt, mounted on concrete, called Bolt.
These weigh 66 to 70 pounds apiece and are the most desirable of current London mascots from our point of view. The articles following this page describe the last two occasions when we took Spanner and Bolt (S & B) which were in 1976/77 and in 1981/82 sessions respectively.
