Ancient Celts in China

Interesting article on the origins of red-haired mummies found in the Taklamakan desert in China.

I'm telling you, ginger folk are the last remnants of the pre-Ice Age global civilisation :-)

Cool article.

We're still really in the Pleistocene ice age. The Holocene epoch is really just another interglacial period. The 'pre-Ice Age global civilization' you speak of was just the last one before ours - in the Eemian interglacial period. The Holsteinian and Waalian interglacial periods probably had their great civilizations too. :)

I'd have to agree there - we won't really be out of the 'Ice Age' until all the Antarctic ice has melted and there are forests there instead (like there used to be a couple of million years ago).

Ditto Siberia and northern Canada.

Interesting DNA evidence. It's going to be a shock when Homo Idiota Idiota eventually discovers that Neanderthals were the previous global civilisation ;-)
