Clearly we are; as the article says:
Discovered April 6 by NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory
.. and since it consists of "mangled information", we've now been infected by the mangling. Of course, since it presumably spread out from Chandra at the speed of light, all information since then has been mangled. Maybe even including this story.

The pressure's so low that the level of the Gulf is a foot higher than the rest of sea level near the eye!
