Anyone [with a Mac] looking to
by Bruce Ure at 11:51 13/09/11 (Blogs::Bruce)
catalogue their film collection, or films they like, or anything to do with lists of films, need look no further than DVDpedia.
The program is brilliant... intuitive, very easy to learn, flexible, powerful, fast, well thought through, and just £13 from the App Store.

Grabs detailed film info in seconds from IMDB or myriad other sources. Enter titles by typing, or pasting in lists (from e.g. directory listings), or a barcode scanner. Export collections to HTML. Create smart collections, filters, custom fields... and loads more.

Nice one Bruji.

I quite agree! Physical media? Pah!

Actually I think it's badly named, or perhaps was named a few years ago and they don't want to change it. I can't remember the last time I touched a DVD :-)

I can't explain what a joy it is to be able to click around directors, actors, decades, genres, and have the results window and everything else respond *instantly*. It shows how used I/we have become to the lagginess of the web.

I just wish I'd discovered it sooner.
