I've thought that way of him since the Damon Hill incident. But I think it is unlikely Bernie will go to war for a driver close to retirement - I don't see the value in it for Bernie, and I'm sure the value is the first thing he'll look at.
However F1 has always been, in part, discovering what you can get away with - I'm sure there are fans enough who'll have no problem with his latest shenanigan other than to bemoan the lack of skill and artistry in its execution.
