Just got home 3 hours late on a 45 min flight....wish I hadn't bothered....

Then this delightful young thing from L.A. comes in followed shortly after by a dutch chap and they sit down for a quick alternative cigarette. We're listening to my heuuge Itunes libary which I'm trying to unimplode and sort out, some Korn is playing.

Then without prompting they both independently pipe up and ask "Is that Tool?".

I quietly smiled and immediately stuck Swamp Song on....

They're bloody everywhere these Tool fans ;-p

Very laid back atmos, a late start, casual clothing , free wireless internet access allowed on my mac at work (for research purposes, natch:) , cakes for the DBA I'm replacing and a full-on visit from Santa inviting everyone to the Orange/T-Mobile broadband merger piss-up tonight.....

and the clincher, someone said 'oohh you've got a photoId already, they only give those to people who are going to be here for a long time" :)

Pinch me, I've died and gone to heaven...oh and I move back into my room in the million euro flat in the poshest bit of town next week.....

The only downside, my mouth hurts from smiling so much :)

Couldn't sleep, so I put the kettle on and whilst it was brewing i stepped outside as its a clear and very bright night, was looking at one of planets i believe (very orange) and boom, a really good meteorite zapped past. Fantastic....not bad for a 15 second look. Went back outside once the tea was done and 3 more in 10 mins...

Gotta love those....

They took me for 20.46 without my permission and their reply as to why is "once you signed up (middle of last year) we are allowed to take an annual fee, it is the T+C´s"

Well, OK , a reminder that my subscription was running out or a notice that they were about to sting me might have been nice or an option to cancel before the new subs started perhaps , but no. Nada.

They just took it without asking or telling and they now have the cheek to backsass. I don´t even want this friggin service anymore and mostly because it sucks.

Small claims court here I come.I´ve already complained to the CC company)

I particularily enjoyed the presentation by Prof. Hans Rosling. Awesome presentation graphics and a subject matter that has reshaped my ideas on the 3rd world....
